Irena worked as a judicial clerk at the New York State Supreme Court and as an associate in litigation and corporate departments of a prominent New York law firm. Irena's experience in estate planning, trusts, immigration and business law, and her international background are invaluable in the matters that have cross-border issues: international marriages, divorces and adoptions, inheritance in a foreign country or in the US, legalization of family members in the US by a foreign citizen and helping foreign citizens to establish businesses and register trademarks in the United States. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Intellectual Property Section, New York State and City Bar Associations, New York Women's Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers' Association. As a member of the New York County Lawyers' Association, Irena co-edited the Attorney's Guide to Civil Practice in the New York Supreme Court.
